Discover the makers whose artistry transforms tradition into timeless style.
Ankita Kayal – Founder of Paher
Ankita’s journey into conscious fashion began during the stillness of the pandemic. A graduate of fashion design from NIFT Bangalore, followed by a postgraduate degree in apparel design at NID, she embarked on Paher and launched it in February 2021 as a response to a newfound minimalist lifestyle and a longing for a thoughtful design. It was during lockdown that she began experimenting with Indian textiles, striving to craft a modern and minimal voice rooted in tradition. Her exploration led her from Karnataka’s artisan cooperatives to West Bengal’s jamdani weavers — and even to Kutch and Bhopal — for naturally dyed, handspun fabric that would form the soul of Paher.
Seema and Sanket – Founders of Seesa
At the heart of SeeSa are Seema and Sanket, two visionaries who came together to reimagine how traditional weaves fit into the modern world. Their work celebrates craft while nurturing innovation, creating pieces that carry the warmth of handwoven heritage with a contemporary edge. Their shared devotion to honoring tradition while speaking to the people of today — blending meticulous handwork with silhouettes that feel current. The journey of SeeSa is one of bridging lineage and lifestyle, celebrating the hands behind the craft while inviting style-forward expression.
